Kamaya Walker

Her debut short film called "And That's on Period" focuses on the struggles that black women witness with fibroids and the neglect they receive from hospitals during pregnancies. She has made a total of seven short films thus far.

Her ultimate career goal is to own her own production studio, called Kamera Ready Productions and become an Oscar-winning, socially-conscious film director. In order to elevate the image of Black people, she strives to make content that not only entertains but educates the masses on important issues.

In the spring of 2022, she graduated from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, where she solidified her place as a Disney UNCF scholar, an HBCU in LA scholar and the Valedictorian of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. When she is not making immaculate films, she enjoys baking cookies and playing video games.
